Job Summary
The Senior Event Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and evaluation of high-impact events from concept through completion. This role oversees event strategy, budgets, vendors, timelines, and cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and an exceptional attendee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end planning and execution of events, conferences, activations, and special projects.
- Develop event concepts, strategies, timelines, and detailed project plans.
- Manage event budgets, expenses, contracts, and vendor relationships.
- Lead and coordinate internal teams, external suppliers, venues, and event partners.
- Oversee event logistics, production, guest experience, and on-site operations.
- Identify and resolve operational issues and risks before and during events.
- Monitor event performance and prepare post-event reports and recommendations.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Event Managers and Assistant Event Managers.
- Ensure events align with organizational objectives, brand standards, and quality expectations.
- Support business development, client presentations, and event proposals when required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Several years of experience in event planning or event management.
- Proven experience managing complex events and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project management, budgeting, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage changing priorities.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
