Job Summary
The Assistant Event Manager supports the planning, coordination, and execution of events and related activities. This role provides administrative and operational support to the event team while helping ensure that event requirements, timelines, and logistics are properly managed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the planning and coordination of events and activities.
- Support the preparation of event schedules, checklists, budgets, and logistical requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors, venues, suppliers, and internal teams as directed.
- Assist with guest registration, event materials, equipment, and venue preparation.
- Support event set-up, on-site coordination, and post-event breakdown.
- Track event-related documents, invoices, supplies, and other administrative requirements.
- Communicate updates and requirements to team members and event partners.
- Help identify and resolve logistical issues during event preparation and execution.
- Assist with post-event reporting, feedback collection, and documentation.
- Perform other event-related duties as assigned by the Event Manager or Senior Event Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant education in Event Management, Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Previous event, hospitality, administrative, or customer-service experience is an advantage.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and event days.
